About Our Partner and Sponsor:
Direct Travel

Direct Travel is one of the most technologically advanced travel management companies in North America and around the world, providing corporate travel, meetings and events, and leisure services. Direct Travel designs customized corporate travel programs for organizations of all sizes featuring: managed self-booking tools, mobile apps, 24-hour emergency support, advanced technologies ensuring lowest fares, discounted air/hotel and car programs, corporate travel policy development and more.

About the Demoers:
Dan Ruch, Founder + CEO at Rocketrip

For too long, the interests of the individual business travelers and those of their companies have been misaligned.  It is challenging balancing personal traveler preferences with corporate goals that support preferred travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, car rental companies, etc.) offering discounted rates to the company as a whole.  Rocketrip is a business travel rewards platform that motivates employees to spend less on business travel. By introducing the motivation to save, Rocketrip is fundamentally changing the way employees spend money on business travel.  Travelers who use Rocketrip when booking air, hotel and more, are rewarded with 50% of the savings their company receives. Rocketrip is neither a travel agency nor an online booking tool. Rather, it works with companies’ existing travel tools and policies to motivate cost conscious spending decisions among employees.

Brianna Conway, Director of Technology Solutions at Direct Travel

Direct2U is a mobile platform providing a variety of functionalities for business travelers including itinerary management.  The app also provides travelers with flight notification, flight check-in, weather and additional functionalities impacting a business traveler’s trip.  With the “Duty of Care” organizations have in supporting travelers while on business travel, it has become increasingly important to locate travelers at all times, identify those in potentially vulnerable locations and provide immediate and relevant assistance.    Utilizing Direct2U’s Safety and Security Check-in functionality, the traveler’s GPS location is sent directly to the traveler tracking map managed by the company’s management and agency partner.  Proactive assistance to the impacted traveler(s) can then be provided. Direct2U automatically monitors, identifies and alerts travelers to disruptive events around the globe.

David Mollov, Managing Director at Hotel Solutions + TripBam

TripBam is a new sourcing solution using analytics to identify lower hotel rates within a company’s corporate travel policy.  TripBam begins with searching for better rates than an existing booking and monitors rate fluctuation over time. The powerful engine evaluates potential new, lower rates by focusing on travel manager approved amenities and filtering out rates that aren't applicable to corporate travel.  TripBam continuously searches using the traveler’s and the corporation’s criteria up until the cancellation policy. When found, TripBam can automatically re-book the better rate and lock in the savings.
